The short version

Worldly is a personal travel archive. Your travel history is yours: we don't sell it, we don't show you ads, and we only collect what the app needs to work. You can export everything or delete your account — and all of its data — at any time, from inside the app.

What we collect

• Account details — your email address and display name, when you choose to create an account. You can use Worldly without an account; your data then stays on your device.
• Your travel content — the countries, cities, trips, flights, discoveries, notes and photos you add. This is the product; it is stored so you can sync it across your devices.
• Location, only when you ask — checking in on a trip, or enabling automatic travel logging for a trip's duration, uses your device location. Trip tracking stops on its own when the trip ends. Location is never collected in the background outside a trip you started, and it is used to add places to your map, not to profile you.
• Flight numbers you look up — sent to our flight-data provider (AeroDataBox) to fill in route details. Just the flight number and date; nothing about you.
• Crash reports — basic diagnostics via Sentry so we can fix bugs. These do not include your travel content.

What we never do

• We never sell your data, to anyone, for any reason.
• We never show advertising, so nothing is tracked for ads.
• We never share your travel history — except the discoveries you explicitly choose to share with your Circle, with the people you chose.

Where your data lives

Synced data is stored with Google Firebase (Firestore), protected by your account. Photos you attach are stored alongside your account data. If you use Worldly without signing in, your data lives only on your device.

Your Circle

Sharing is opt-in and specific: a discovery is visible to your connections only when you save it, and you can remove connections at any time. Your map, statistics and trips are never visible to anyone but you.

Export & deletion

Settings → Export my data gives you everything you've logged in a portable file. Settings → Delete my account permanently removes your account and all synced data. Deletion is immediate and irreversible.

Children

Worldly is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect data from them.

Changes

If this policy changes in a meaningful way, we'll say so in the app before the change takes effect.
